Day 2: just keep swimming, just keep swimming

Wow. First night all by myself. A little nerve racking but it was great. So recap on yesterday:

I did two school visits and my very fist one was great! I was so happy. The high school counselor got 20 students in a room for me and I got a bunch of them to fill out cards. They thought I was funny and it really tested my skills. I messed up on a few things but now I have learned my lessons.

After the two school visits I met up with Ashley! It was so wonderful. I was so happy that I got to see someone I know on the first day. We went to In and Out and it was sooooooo good. Ash had never been. Glad I got to experience that with her. Then she headed back to her fair and I went to my hotel. I was exhausted. I checked in and Organized my luggage. Then got ready for bed because being up at 4 am can't really wear you out. I ended up snuggled in bed at 7 and fell asleep with the tv on. I think I am all caught up because I am great this morning! I naturally woke up early which allowed me to finish scheduling some schools and map out the ones I am meeting today.

Oh in my room I checked for safety and everything was great except for the windows. They wouldn't latch shut. So if someone could manage to climb up three stories they could easily get in. But not to worry I played macgyver. Seriously, the window latch wasn't getting close enough to the lock so I took my hair ribbon and pulled from the latch to the lock. I am really impressed that I did this so don't laugh. It probably doesn't make sense with me explaining it but all you need to know is my room is safe.

Okay I told myself I wouldn't stay long at Starbucks.... So blog later.

Coffee cups consumed: 3
Texts to mom: 27
Resturants I want to eat at: 4

  1. Seriously with the window? GET A NEW ROOM!!! Okay, Papa Duck done now.

It's too early to be talking to yourself, regardless of how long you're at Starbucks.

Props for the "Finding Nemo" reference.
